Photoblogging: Photography and Blogging

by Tim Linden on December 22, 2008

As a photographer who is just starting his journey with photography, it only makes sense to start a blog and document the journey. I run a very successful blog around internet marketing, but it didn't seem right posting photography related items there.

Some people think that blogging is just a waste of time, because they could be making more photos. Well, great for them! For me, blogging is a way to attract new people to my photos, and to document my progress. I suppose if I was busy with clients I wouldn't want to blog either, but I'm not.

There are many people interested in blogging with photography, so I will touch bases on it periodically. My goal is to talk about all the aspects of a photography business, and blogging can be one of them. The key is to do a bit of research and determine if it'll help or hurt your business, as everyone is different.

Keep it up!
And just a thought..How many websites can you think of that don’t incorporate photography in one way or another?

I make a lot of photos too, but they’re of little interest to others, except for friends and family, I suppose. I put them up on social networks sometimes, of my kitties, some nice scenery. Anyways, neat new blog, will come and have a look regularly.
