I took this photo one gloomy morning when my daughters were upset. They like to drive over the Newport and Jamestown bridges, so I stopped over at Beavertail Lighthouse and took this photo.

The Beavertail Lighthouse is easy to get to from land, but a view from water is really great. You can see all the rocks the lighthouse is protecting boats from hitting, and all the people visiting the lighthouse.

This is Beavertail Lighthouse, at the tip of Jamestown, from the ocean. To get a shot like this you'll need a boat or take a lighthouse cruise.

This photo of the Beavertail Lighthouse was clearly taken in the winter, but what I found most interesting was the sunset like look on the horizon despite the sun being high in the sky.
