Beavertail Lighthouse

Beavertail Lighthouse is at the southern tip of Jamestown in Beavertail State Park. There is parking available so it’s an easy lighthouse to photograph. There are also some large rocks and old buildings nearby that make for interesting spots to take photos.

The best place to photograph the lighthouse from is a boat, so if you don’t have one you’ll need to checkout a lighthouse cruise. You can get some nice photos from the rocks but not as much of a sweeping view of the whole lighthouse.

This photo of the Beavertail Lighthouse was clearly taken in the winter, but what I found most interesting was the sunset like look on the horizon despite the sun being high in the sky.
