The sun was setting near the Slocum Post Office. The turf field gave a sweeping view of the sunset.
This photo I took in Jamestown. I was taking it on top of Fort Wetherill, overlooking the ocean. I have a few more of the sun setting behind this building with the cliff in front of it, but when I viewed the files this one really struck me. I did some video while shooting as well, so look for that in the future.
This is my first HDR photo. It's an old shed near the Slocum Post Office. I was taking other photos of the sunset about 90 degrees to the left, but I like this one best because of the loneliness of the shed, and the streak of color across the sky.
I was driving through West Kingston to find a spot to take a photo of this sunrise, and I came across these train tracks. A train flew by and blew the snow into the air.. It was an incredible sight. The only problem was I waited and waited and waited and had to leave before another train was coming. You can see some of the remnants of the snow swirls near the tracks.
The waves look silky here because it was a long exposure. I had to use a neutral density filter to allow the long exposure. In the upper center you can see the moon.
